When selecting a bitumen roof, important factors include, on one hand, technical matters, and, on the other hand, the look. Technically, the most important thing is the roof's slope. A steep roof offers a freer selection of products, while a gently sloping roof requires the membrane to be a sealed joint roofing, able to withhold water pressure. On the most gently sloping roofs, with internal water removal, a professionally installed two-membrane roofing is required.
